About Us

The Journey of Architect of Transforming Lives

Architect of Transforming Lives is dedicated to advocating for human rights and empowering marginalized groups in Cameroon.

We are a non-profit, non-governmental organization, Youth led civil society organization working for human rights advocacy, community empowerment, and Peace building. We strive to transform the lives of vulnerable groups, including women, youth, inmates and marginalized communities, through targeted programs that inspire positive change and foster resilience.
Established in response to the ongoing social challenges in Cameroon, ATL was born out of a firsthand experience with injustice and a deep commitment to building a society that upholds human dignity and rights. Our founder witnessed the harsh realities of legal abuse, poor prison conditions, and the lack of skill development opportunities for young people. These challenges ignited a passion to address systemic issues that perpetuate cycles of poverty, crime, and marginalization.
We work closely with communities in the South West Region and beyond, focusing on initiatives that promote legal reform, human rights, and the empowerment of individuals to rebuild their lives. Through our advocacy for fair treatment and justice, we aim to prevent arbitrary detention and protect the rights of those often overlooked by society. Our programs empower youth and women, support the rehabilitation of inmates, and provide skill development opportunities to help individuals reintegrate into society as productive members.
In 2023, Tardzenyuy Achileus was selected as the first Human Rights Fellow at the African Court on Human and Peoples’ Rights in Arusha, Tanzania. During this fellowship, he gained insights into the complexities of legal reform and human rights protection across the continent. He observed how systemic injustices and gaps in legal frameworks continue to impact vulnerable populations. This experience deepened his commitment to advocacy and fueled the vision behind Architect of Transforming Lives, aiming to build a more just and equitable society where human rights are upheld for all. At ATL, we believe in the power of community-driven solutions. By fostering compassion and resilience, we aim to transform lives and cultivate a society where justice, equality, and opportunity are accessible to all.
